March 2008 Theme ~ "Friendship"

Congratulations to our March winners!

Friendship Thoughts

Talk to me of friendship
And special love and care,
Tell me of the laughter
And the good times we can share.

Let me hear you whisper
That you are here for me,
That you will walk beside me,
When the path I cannot see.

Sing to me of companionship
And the warmth that friendship brings,
Let me walk beside you
Let our love take wings.

Comfort me when I am sad
And call me on the phone,
Let me feel your very presence
So I know I'm not alone.

Hear my many worries
And my feeble call,
Let me know that you will be there
To lift me when I fall.

.Please know that I value you
And all you say and do,
How very much I cherish
Your special friendship true.

Listen to my secrets
And neither laugh nor scold,
Promise me that we'll be together
When we are very old.

We'll watch the sun go down together
And remember our youthful days,
We will cherish our special friendship
And the joy it brought to our days.

Rainbow of Friendship

A gentle ray of sunlight
shines across the miles
To brighten up the darkest days
with a vibrant cheery smile.

A promise of a rainbow
on which I can depend
Showing me the kind of love
found only in a friend.

A hand upon the shoulder
felt deep within the heart
For over oceans far and wide
you reach from where you are.

A caring gift of friendship
found within a place
Where there is a familiar warmth
that comes from your embrace.

A special kind of beauty
and kindness you bestow
Shining on whose paths you cross
you are the love you show;

A vibrant personality
that lights up cyberspace,
You make me laugh with tears of joy
running down my face.

A special gift you are to me
which I am thankful for,
The hours spent of times we've shared
with laughs and so much more!

You're a gentle ray of sunlight
so vibrant far and wide
A rainbow with a pot of gold
shining from the other side.

Best Friends Forever

I have a friend
Who's tried and true,
She's never let me down,

And any time
I'm feeling blue,
My friend will come around...

She'll cheer me up
With happy chat,
You'll never see a frown,

And soon she'll have
Me feeling great
And take me off to town!

We'll shop and dine
And see a film
And have the grandest time,

I can't begin
To praise my friend
Enough in this small rhyme.

You'd never guess
Who my friend is,
Although perhaps you oughta....

My best friend in
The world, you see,
Is my beautiful daughter

The Colors of Friendship

The colors of the rainbow each hold for me a tip;
Red is for the love I feel that makes our special friendship.
Orange is for the sweetness that comes to just a few.
Yellow glows with brightness that shines with such a hue.
Green screams alive and nature with a newness in our life.
Blue is for the times we grieve and open our hearts in strife.
Indigo the color of midnight when we rest and talk and share.
Violet is soothing, meant for us to release and care.
These colors are comforting and peaceful to most.
I see them everywhere around and wear them to boast,
That life is so precious and short, take all you can and gain.
Believe in your heart and work through the pain,
That friendship and colors together can bind,
True feelings of amity and togetherness sublime.
To me a best friendship is my ultimate treasure,
A feeling of closeness and companionship beyond measure.
May the bonds that bind us stay strong and tight,
Never sever the lines of communication we work hard at to make right.
God knew I was lonely; he brought you to me.
Today, tomorrow, forever,
You and I will always be.

A Gift of Friendship

Friendship is a gift earned not given
In the time we live
Our life here in the time that is ours
There is but one special moment in time

A time I remember
Of sadness and loss
When no one wanted too listen
To my broken heart

A time I felt so alone
There was this one person
Whom came to my home
He listened to my story of silent pain

That I held within my soul
The words I said
With memories of sadness
That I held within the shadow of my mind

Afraid to say of the pain I felt
He gave me the strength to open my heart
With just his caring words he did say
He gave me the love I needed that day

His tears told me
That he was a friend sent to me from heaven
That opening up my soul could only mend
The pain that was deep within

They meant more to my heart
Than what any words could ever have told
With out a word
He told me his thought

Which brought to my heart
A silent peace and strength
As though he held me in his arms
He bought to my heart a peaceful calm

Me and My Friend

My friend means a lot to me,
Even when times are tough,
We have our ups and downs,
And share a lot of stuff.

When I feel I have no one,
She always makes me smile,
And is always there for me,
To make my life worth while.

This poem to say thank you,
For always being there,
To my guardian angel,
For answering my prayer.
