Love in Bloom

Daddy's little girl came walking down the aisle
Hair all curled, wearing a pretty smile
A bouquet of white roses, velvet streamers hanging down
She may be smiling but her dad wears a frown.

Her dress of white taffeta, satin and lace
Dangling diamonds encircle her lovely face
In his tux he looks so handsome and so proud
But his shoes are too tight, he'd like to scream out loud.

As he passes the arm of his daughter to him
He grits his teeth and nods with a grin,
This is my baby girl you've better watch out boy
She's my flesh and blood and not just your toy.

So take her and keep her and make her very happy
Keep her heart very safe and never get slappy.
I'll break you in two if you ever should hurt her
Otherwise congratulations, I know you deserve her!

Love In Bloom

Dare I chase the dreams of my heart
The distance keeping us far apart
I long for your touch and sweet caress
If our love is real I can only guess

We only had a short time together
I need to know if we'll last forever
Friends and family say I'm mad to go
But my heart tells me I need to know

I pack my bags and head to England
My heart erratic as we nose to land
Our eyes lock as we at last meet
Our love beats as one as we greet

So I have to say follow your heart
Then decide if you'll never be apart
I dread to think if I'd never done this
I'd never have known absolute true bliss

Love in June under the sweet harvest moon.
Passionate kisses linger in the sweet evening air.
Falling in love all over again.

While just looking into each other's eyes.
The wonders of marriage always seem to hold
so many wondrous surprises.

So many unspoken soft loving words.
Gifts leaving true loving hearts all aflutter.
With each passing anniversary and love
always growing stronger.

Words said cards written wonderful moments
pass each day. Starting from that first
moment and for some. On the first date
always able to communicate.

Years to have passed and love to have grown.

Love In Bloom

As spring approaches with budding trees
And flowers with their sweet perfume,
The coldness of winter is now all gone
And love is in full bloom.

Taking a walk, hand in hand
Underneath the fullness of the moon,
A gentle kiss passes between you
And you know that love is in bloom.

You notice the greenness of the trees
And the birds singing a happy tune,
Your heart is happy and complete
Because you know love's in bloom.

He asks you that wonderful question
"Will you be his bride to his groom"?
And now you will spend your life with him
Because your love's in full bloom.
