July 2007 Theme ~ "Friendship in Bloom"
The Seed
One bright and beautiful dayGod reached down from above
and placed a tiny seed in my hand.
"Plant this", He said. I asked "What will it be?"
He answered, "That depends on you."
So I took the seed and looked for
the best place to plant it.
After a long search I found just the right spot.
Each day I carefully tended the seed.
I would sit and talk with it. We shared
our hopes, dreams, laughter and tears.
We grew to depend on each other and to love another.
The seed flourished and grew and so did I.
Soon God came again and asked,
"Where did you plant the seed?"
"In my heart." I answered.
"Now do you know what it is?
Have you given it a name?" He asked.
"Oh yes" I replied, " I have the perfect name.

Roses, Daisies, Orchids tooEach has its own distinctive hue
Some bright and vivid and can stand alone
Others peek out from behind softer in tone
Much like friends that with me stand
Each holding each other's hand
In good times and bad
When happy or sad.
The special gifts each one shares
Shows just how much each one cares.

The Colors in The Garden of Friendship
The colors of the GOF surround my life with feelings, emotions, and friendships.Blue soothes me and interjects harmony into my days.
Green breathes nature and brings life into my years.
Red shows me how much I love, adore, and appreciate
my family and friends.
Purple gives me passion to pursue, and believe,
in myself and my goals.
Black reminds me of loved ones I’ve lost in my life
and in the GOF.
Yellow shines bright in my mind and brings me
closer to my faith.
Orange allows me to experiment and try different paths.
All these colors blended together become a rainbow.
Friendships abound in the Garden of Friendship.

Friendships made in a place so specialto each person in a very different way
Meanings of a shoulder or a heartfelt word
to bring a smile to a sad face or aching heart.
Seven years of friendship made in this
very special garden. Friends come
together from all over the world
on a thing called a computer
that is linked to the cyber world
Where friends talk about everything,
cry about nothing, and share everything
they possibly can together. In their
cyber garden a friendship that has been
growing for seven years or longer
Never to be ended or stored on the back shelf
is the friendship that we have in the garden,
a place always growing and evolving
and getting better and stronger.
The vines of the garden are unbreakable
to the unforgiving hands of cyber time.
