January 2007 Theme ~ "Hope"

As Does The Sun

My soul may be a quiet one,
But yes, it has been scorned
For though it blooms as does a rose
Still it knows of thorns.

I have received the painful touch
Of life's old bitter kiss
That made me question to myself
Where does this hope exist...

This hope I see when it is dark
And so I close my eyes
But after dreams, I wake again
To find the sun did rise.

Yes, in a prayer I softly prayed
Before my body slept
For faith to come and dwell in me
And in my soul be kept.

So, as I live as does the sun...
Whatever skies may be
I'll rise with still the light of hope
I know does shine in me.

Hope Is

We all know that hope
Is a 4 letter word
But the value of its' significance
Some have not heard

There's a vast spectrum
Involved in saying " I HOPE"
Let's take a moment
And get a visual scope

We believe
For what we can't see
And pray that in time
It becomes reality

We HOPE that our children
Will prosper in life
We HOPE that our marriages
Will be free from strife

When we say "I HOPE"
Our faith is inserted
What we are saying is:
"GOD, YOU'VE JUST BEEN ALERTED"

The Princess Called Hope

When she was little and so so frail
She dreamed of being a princess
Sitting in her chair with a crown of gold
Legs dangling, she could not access

Each step was hard, each fall tearful
The little princess tried harder each day
The bumps and bruises that always came
The tears they fell like rain in May

Then one day she took a step
That didn't make her stumble down
She smiled up at her mom and dad
As she reached up for her crown

The princess took just one more step
Before her precious legs crumbled
But in her heart she knew some day
That would be her very last tumble

She laughed and cried the tears of hope
Mom and dad shared them too
For in all their hearts they always knew
The princess would make it through.

Hope

My hope is that when I pass
That my family won't grieve too hard,
That they know I still watch and see
Their every move and love them
Even from heaven above.
Every time the sun shines I'm smiling
When it rains I cry
When I see them hurt.
When it snows I give them joy
To remind them to spend time and
Make time for the ones they love.

To enjoy laying in the snow
While looking to the heavens
Making their snow angels while I watch
With joy in my heart and soul
And a smile on my face.
When it thunders reminding them
That their actions may hurt
Someone they love very much.

Hope is...

Hope is the strength that allows us to persevere,
brings us out of the grey shadows,
drawing us toward the sunlight of dreams.
It is found in the soft words woven with love
helping us reshape painful emotions
and rise above that which binds us in sorrow.
Hope is comforting, wrapping us in familiarity
like the worn volumes of unforgettable stories,
reawakening memories of happiness.
Hope is that which sparks joy in the simplest of things;
a flower blossom, a child's smile, a song.
Hope thaws our frozen hearts
allowing new vivacity to course our veins.
It is the life-force that allows those in the depths of despair
to rise again and experience a rebirth.

A Ray Of Hope

I love my mommy very much
She gives me her motherly touch
In May she is going away
Please pray for my mommy
For her safe return

She will be gone for 18 months
My mommy will miss my 3rd birthday
I know she will be very tough
She will go overseas
My mommy will miss me

If my mommy were to die
Our family will surely cry
I don't know why they picked her
They sure have a lot of nerve
I am only 2 years old

I won't be there for my mommy to hold
She will not be here to share her love
I won't see her or hear her voice
Only by telephone I can hear her advise
Please send my mommy prayers on a dove

What I Hope For

For this world we live in,
I hope for better things,
As it's nothing but a sin
For the nastiness it brings

Bring peace on earth,
For everyone is here.
It will be well worth,
To be rid of the tear.

Behind The Hope

The road may seem long
The hurt may cut so very deep
But deep inside of us all
Is the seed of strength called HOPE

Hope is what you call on
It is the courage to keep keeping on
It's the faith that this will end
And that things will turn out all right

And behind all this HOPE
Is the quiet gentle source of its strength
And the comfort of love and grace
As He lifts you up, to carry you through

Hope

A Child looking through a crystal window
Searching for the power of hope
That lays beyond the reflection

A young innocent mind
and the questions of wonder about mankind
Looking for the power of hope
that comes from within the young soul

Looking at today
Its sadness and sorrow
that are now forever told
Searching for the truth
To one day feel the serenity of peace
The gentle touch of life

The tears, the joys, and the heartbreak
reaching out in hope
For all to find the pathway to follow
Beyond this horizon
To bring peace and harmony to this world
For out of stone
We can find the crystal of HOPE.
