December 2007 Theme ~ "All I Want for Christmas...."
Congratulations to our December winners!
All I Want for Christmas
All I want for Christmas
Is to live in a peaceful world,
To see the children run and play
And freedom's flag unfurled.
I'd like to see a smile appear
Upon a worried face,
To browse through a treasure box
Filled with ribbons and with lace.
I'd like to hear the laughter ring
In homes and and halls of learning,
To bring peace and contentment
To hearts filled with great yearning.
I would like to be a friend to you
As you have been to me,
To share the secrets of our hearts
And good companions be.
All I want for Christmas is safety in our town,
Where women walk without a fear,
Where everyone has work to do
And friendship is always near.
The gifts I'd like for Christmas
Would fit me like a glove,
Laughter, serenity and happiness,
And your very special love.

All I Want for Christmas
It is that time of year again
When Christmas Day arrives,
But this year will be different
In so many people's lives....
You see, there's war in many lands,
There's famine, there's disease,
Atrocities run rampant,
There's no love, no joy, no peace....
No fancy gifts for everyone,
No cookies and no feast,
No stockings hung with care for them,
The smallest and the least....
No silent nights for many,
Just gunfire, bombs, and screams,
Roast turkey and plum puddings
Are only in their dreams.
And so this year my greatest wish
For every girl and boy
And man and woman on this earth
Is PEACE, and love, and joy!

All I Want for Christmas
My dream is of a white Christmas
The old tuitional kind
When snow covers the gardens
All glistening and white
With reflections of the suns golden light
And there is frost on the windows
Left there from last night
And the mistletoe
Hanging there above the door
To catch someone by surprise
Someone that you adore
An open log fire
With Christmas stockings hanging from the mantle
A tree all covered with ornaments and candles
Like the days of old now gone by
To see the delight
Within a child's heart on Christmas night
Telling the story of the star that shone so bright
To guide the wise men
To a place where our savior lay
Remembering this story that lives through time
The Christmas dawn
When family and friends are all near
To feel the happiness and cheer
That comes with this season every year
That is all I want for Christmas
