April 2005 Theme ~ "Rainbows
OUR RAINBOW
On my way to be with you todayI saw a double rainbow
One was bright in colors of orange, violet and blue
The other was soft and of a lighter flow.
The bright one reminded me about our love
And how much we have been through.
The colors reminded me of our loved ones up above
And how God has blessed us, me and you.
The softer one reminded me about our children's years
Coloring, playing and teaching them
Blue reminded me about the times of tears
And I thanked God for helping me once again.
That rainbow glowed for quite a while
As the different colors began to fade.
I watched it for mile after mile
And thought of the love we have made.

RAINBOWS AND PEBBLES
I am annoyedas grass,
a beetle,
and three pebbles
tumble out
of my son's jeans
into the washer.
I must learn
to treasure
the rainbows
in his pockets
The hopes,
the dreams,
and joys
they represent.
Inconvenienced
I retrieve
his loot
and find myself
smiling.

A RAINBOW IS A PROMISE
A rainbow is a promise, they sayTo start to live in a brand new way.
He stopped the rains, the floods did cease,
And Noah decided to believe.
I'm still waiting for my surprise
To see that rainbow in the sky.
It seems that promise may not be
A part of God's plans for me.
For I am lost in clouds of black
And I feel battered and attacked,
Promises broken beyond repair
Maybe He just doesn't care.
But I will wait and look on high
And wait upon that cloudy sky.
I still hope and I still pray
Rainbows for me will come someday.

WHEN I THINK OF RAINBOWS
When I think of rainbows, I think of hopenew beginnings, God's promise, love, and faith
throughout life there will always be storms
battering rain, thunder, and lightning
but as the wind roars in the dark sky
remember, the storm will pass
the clouds will part and drift away
the sun will shine on you once again
and there in the mist you'll see
colors so bright and beautiful to behold
full of wonder and magic and promise
a rainbow full of God's love

This goes to you my son and 3 daughters
Not to mention you mom as well
I'm sending you my love from Heaven
To all of you below I love and miss you
When you see a rainbow it goes to show
I love and miss my departed family below.
When you see a rainbow
Please think of me as the
Same person the way
As I was your mother and daughter
For I must say I'd love you
To keep me within your heart
The very same way right
From the very start and never apart
All the while I remain out
Of your loving sight
And remember when you see a rainbow
I love and miss you so.
