Limericks
This assignment was to write a limerick about
another Garden of Friendship member.
A few rhymes about our PE members from Grandma Lyn....
A school teacher named Lady V
Is as talented as she can be
When it comes the time
To write up a rhyme
She can give lessons to you and me.
Our resident GK is Cheri
And quite a huge load does she carry
She looks out for us all
That's an order quite tall
And we probably drive her nuts, very!
A young lady known as Selena
Took a trip way down to Argentina
But now she is back
And she's on the right track
'Cause the Newsletter's where we have seen her.
Christina writes poems with flair
They have such a quality air
But if verse is confined
To a mere 20 lines
She is likely to pull out her hair :-)
We've a talented gal, Linda V,
Whose poetry's great as can be,
She's also from Oz
And we know that because
She's a friend of Christina's, you see!
Amanda is our newest member,
I hear she was born in December.
We're glad that she's here
And we say with a cheer
She's a poet we're sure to remember!
There's a sweetie who's called Terry Ann
Who writes poetry without formal plan
And yet when she's done
She's second to none
And I think that I'm her biggest fan!
A poet called Tdybear4ever
Is known to be so very clever
Her acrostics are fine
And I wish they were mine
But Tdybear says "No, not never!"
Stormigrl is a poet of note
Her verses the critics do quote
She's quick and she's smart
She writes from the heart
And she'll likely get everyone's vote.
Tootypup as her name does imply
Is an animal lover, oh my!
She could be a vet
As she cares for her pets
Whether four legs or two wings that fly
Rachelle is about to be wed
Methinks it has gone to her head
For though it may grieve us
She says she may leave us
'Cause she's chosen Francisco instead!
A conversation between friends....???
I am an dinkum Aussie like Steeny,
Who is definitely not a meany.
She writes and writes and gets involved
Never happy til problems solved,
And her great poetic muse is a "keeny".
Sorry Christina - hehehehehe !!!

Right back at ya, Missy!
A dinkum Aussie Miss Adelaide?
From somewhere over the Mersey way
It had come about
A climate of drought
You traded in place of the rain!

Oh Grandma Lyn please, please stop her,
Or I really shall be forced to bop her,
She teases me so about my age,
It's a wonder I don't fly into a rage
Let's send her to Sunhill to a Copper

You keep this up dear Linda
Or I shall be pointing the finger
At the imminent age
That beckons today
For me to dangle and hinder!
BUT......
What a wonderful idea to send me
To SunHill with Smiffy and Mickey
Oh such great delight
It won't be a plight
In fact, dear, don't even tempt me!

Christina my friend you gave me your word
And I am sure you most definitely heard,
That no celebrations are needed
I sure hope that you have heeded
But I know that you never would have dared.
You go to Sunhill, and I to Midsomer
Time with Tom would be such a hummer,
But for you - what the heck
What about poor old Becks?
And I shall have a glorious summer.
