October 2009: Our assignment was to write a limerick about sunflowers.




Sunflowers Sunflowers
I gotta love those flowers
Those flowers produce seeds
The seeds I oh so need

There once was a beautiful sunflower
Who was known as the very best grower
She had lots of seeds
For every ones needs
To me they are great for brainpower

There is a flower quite golden,
That to who the sun is beholden.
Gently it rests up at night,
Then wakens to the light,
And brings smiles to both young and olden.

There was a sunflower named Sally
Who craved a vacation in Bali.
So up came her roots,
Including her shoots,
Now she's in a can in the alley.
