Snowman Mystery Add-a-Line
Our assignment was to write two rhyming lines
and send them to ACL Lady Deb, who then
put everything together to make a poem.
Our Snowman
One winter day as snow fell to the ground,
We built a snowman, oh so chubby and round
With twinkling eyes made from coal
A button smile warmed our soul.
Oh what a handsome face with those shiny eyes
And the smile just made him look so wise.
We dressed him all in his very best,
An outfit full of flash and zest.
The snowman was looking a bit funny,
So Cheri stuck a stick for an arm in his tummy.
Let's call him Frosty, as he seems to come alive,
Listen as Brisa sings him a winter's lullaby.
Looking at all of us from across the street,
People are laughing as they stop to peek.
Out yonder in a field of white
Another jolly snowman is dressed in Christmas delight.
Today looks like snowman time as we play in the snow
Having lots of fun until sunset's glow.
Snowmen are cold but so fun to make
Let's sip hot cocoa as we take a small break.
Oh, snowman, you look so plump and so sweet,
Please don't melt away and leave.
Blessed be the season of which we are a part,
When Christmas is upon us, and melts our snowman's heart.
