This assignment was to write about the Four Seasons within 8 lines, incorporating the words:
Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring

Four Seasons

The summer suns golden rays heats the earth's crust
A whispering wind from the north raises a desert dust

The colors of the Autumn mist shades life
Before the country falls under the spell of the winters ice

The shadow of a Winter's Day
With a shiver it sends along your way

The new beginning of Spring when all life comes out to play
Flower buds in a Gentle breeze sway

Seasons Come and Go

Spring turns into Summer
Then for a little while
Autumn stays with us
And ushers winter in with style.

So it is with life my friend,
The Spring and Summer days move too fast,
It’s into Autumn’s sweet days
Then winter comes at last.

Cold Winter Mornings,
Different colour leaves,

The birds in the trees
The Spring Bees
There the four seasons
Of each year!

Four Seasons

I used to love the summer
the hot and carefree days
Till it rolled into Autumn
with colours in array -
Now I find that winter
is a time when I recall
Snuggled warm till Spring awakens
is what I love best of all.
