Add-a-Lines
Add-A-Line poems are created by sending the poem from member to
member, with each one adding a line. We never know where the
poem may take us, but it's always an adventure.
This assignment was to write a stanza of four lines each following the theme of "Romance".
Silent Memories
She came to him in silence,
Raindrops on her face,
Her hair was damp in the moonlight
In her gown of emerald lace. (Linda V.)
Her silent tears reflect in the shadows
Of this wondrous place
Where she feels the gentle hand
Of a her love as he holds her close in his embrace. (Tootypup)
She looks up in his eyes
To see the love he has for her
His head comes down and their lips meet
Her stomach flutters as butterflies come (Amanda)
Their first kiss…the feeling and passion unleashed
She felt a yearning and closeness right away
Sadness filled her heart
This cannot not be to her dismay (Tdybear4ever)
She held him tight
as they kissed again
he wanted to always be there
to take away her pain (Clare)
But alas it was all but a dream
and never meant to be
As she laid the roses on his grave
and kissed his memory. (Stina)
