Acrostic Poetry

Acrostic Poetry is where the first letter of each line forms a word (or message), usually the same word as the title.

This mini assignment was to write a poem relating to the Garden of Friendship's Birthday Bash, "7 Blooming Years", using either the word BLOOMING or the word BIRTHDAY.

Because you mean so much to me,
I write for you these lines,
Remembering your love and care
Through bad and better times...
How always you are there for me,
Devoted to the end,
And I know in the future that
You'll always be my friend.

Blooming with Friendship

Bringing joy to my days
Listening to the things you say
Over again I see your ways
Often you bring joy to my day.
Memory holds so many things,
Inside my heart you will always stay
Nurturing me gently as I journey
Guiding me wisely through my day.

Balloons and celebrations
Invitations to get in the post
Reminding them about the date
Telephone calls - a party to host
Happy days and happy hours
Delightful special rhymes
Always special cards and flowers,
Yippee! I love party times.

Birthdays are one day a year!
It's a special one - lotsa cheer.
Running around - wondering what to make.
Thinking about...hmmmmm...an angel food with strawberries...birthday cake!
Hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and more.
Don't believe I'll have to run to the store!
All in all ...family, friends, endless times galore.
You can't go wrong, soon I'll be 50 let's celebrate no more!

Balloons on trees
Invitations sent out
Ribbons around presents
Tall men on stilts
Happy laughing guests
Dining on cake
Aging comes but once a year
You should all celebrate!
