Baking a Friendship Cake Long Life Friendship Cake From the shelf in your kitchen Take down a large mixing bowl, To mix up your ingredients So your cake will be whole. Take a large amount of friendship Add a lot of love, A measure of good humour And blessings from above. Be sure to add a shoulder Where you can shed your tears, Some tender arms to wrap around you And take away your fears. Now add some trust From one who cared, And a measure of honesty For troubles shared. Turn out your cake And keep it warm, Remembering always It will keep you from harm. © Linda J. Vaughan 2008 The Friendship Cake To bake a cake of friendship this is what you do Gather all ingredients and mix the whole lot through. First you take devotion and add a load of love With a dash of tenderness and blessings from above Stir in some compassion to smooth out any fears With a healthy dose of humour to whisk away the tears Now sift in trust and honesty and mould a generous heart Pour in an extra load of love of which laughter is a part Bake at an even temperature and serve with love together; And then you'll find your friendship cake will always last forever. © Christina aka Stina 2008 The Foundation of Friendship In my old country kitchen I let my mind find Something special And make everyone feel divine For all my friends that live so far away I hope to place a smile within your heart today I look around For what can be found For this special little recipe I need you all to gather around Now we need Lots of love As much as you think Given to us all from above Heaps of understanding And plenty of sharing and caring Compassion is a must And laughter from morning till dusk Now mix altogether And mix it well For now we have the perfect ingredients For a magical friendship That reaches out to all in this Garden true You know With this recipe I never feel blue This is how I met all of you © Tootypup - Susan 2008 Today is my day to bake a cake looking in the cupboards, I know just what I'll make. I take down the tub of compassion this is the biggest measure then the box of love and hugs for the friendships that I treasure. I leaven with a pinch of laughter then add the ingredients that bind the conversation in emails the connection that we find. I add scoops of empathy loyalty and bliss sprinkle with devotion and seal it with a kiss! This friendship cake is just for you my baking is complete for all the Garden friends so true that make my life so sweet. © Novella 2008
