Whenever a birth occurs into our world it is a time of celebration and every year we mark the anniversary of this birth with great pride and joyful fanfare in one form or another.

And so it is with our Garden of Friendship that began as a Dream, an idea formed in the heart and mind of our Founder Deelight. Her Hope of success became our roots and her determination based in Faith became our expansion. Our expansion resulted in our links of Friendship energized by Love for one another as expressed through the many Gardens that have now become our family of friendship. Our movement as one unit of caring individuals toward a common Goal is a Celebration of mutual triumph we observe and happily take part in each year.

As Gardeners we know that every plant we tend contains value other than what may at first be obvious. It is for this reason we chose the Lunaria (Money plant) to represent our Pieces of Eight for this year’s Birthday Anniversary Theme.
