Grubs
~ By PCBeachlover ~
Ever been out on your lawn, or in your garden,
and find your plants damaged from the root?
Look closely and you may just see little
white grubs. Grubs are the larvae of beetles, and they damage all kinds of
plant life by eating away at the roots.
Once grown, the beetles do not damage the
vegetation, they just lay their eggs in the soil, and the larvae do the damage
while growing into beetles. In order to get rid of these pests, insecticides
must be applied.
Keep in mind that the earlier in a grub's life
cycle you apply the pesticide, the more susceptible the grub is. There are
also several home remedies for grubs, including the beer remedy.
Place a small bowl of beer into the ground,
so that the rim of the bowl is at at ground level. The grub will be attracted to
the smell of the yeast, and will fall into the bowl.
