Plants That Attract Me The Most
~ By Lady Kat ~
The plants that attract me the most are
perennials with vibrant colors and have wonderful scents.
I am also attracted to plants which "attract" butterflies and humming
birds. I had planted an annual one year and for the life of me can't
remember the name of it, but I loved it because it attracted a huge
number of hummingbirds. I just love these little birds! I can sit all
day and just watch them flitting from flower to flower. The funny
thing is, I have hummingbird feeders and the birds don't touch
them! *L*
For shade plants the ones that I love the most are Hostas. I have 6
different varieties in various shade/partial shade beds and I love
them for their uniqueness. The one I love the most is the Patriot
Hosta. It looks like it has a maple leaf in the centre. This is
great because I love my country! (Canada)
Ground cover I don't have a lot of. I have a few perennials that
cover the front part of the bricks in my plant beds. They are a
lovely variegated green and cream color.
For ornamental, I have 4 types of ornamental grasses which are
also perennials and they are planted around my water pond along
with ferns which grow enormous each year
