ABOUT YOU

1. What is a typical day like for you?

I wake around 6am and let the dogs out to potty, then feed the cats, then the dogs. Then I have 1 cup of decaf coffee. Then I go out and feed the horses. If it is nice outside, I will work out in my garden, which I love, or I will cut about an acre of grass, or do the weedeating. If it is cold or rainy then I do things in the house that I have been remodeling for, umm how many years!! LOL. I still have plenty of that to do. I usually check email a couple times a day. I let the dogs out numerous times a day. In the evenings, I play around on the computer and watch TV.

2. Do you work outside the home and if so, what do you do? Not anymore. I have several health issues that wont let me work at a job anymore. I was the kennel manager at our local No Kill Animal Shelter and I just loved it. I still stay active with the shelter as much as I can though.

3. Do you have any children? If so, what are their names and ages?

I have 1 daughter Christy Anne, who is 31. She lives back in Illinois where we are originally from.

4. Do you have any pets? What are they and what are their names?

5. What is your favorite pastime or hobby or craft?

I love flowers, plants and gardening. I also enjoying using PSP to make tags for several groups I am in. As you can tell, I love animals!!

6. What motivates you?

My Faith in God makes me realize how Blessed my life is and I want the same Blessings for others.

7. What irritates you?

Judgemental people!!! No one is better than anyone else and unless you walk in there shoes, you have no idea what their life is like.

8. What is your favorite thing in life?

Sunday morning when my husband gets in off the road and I see that beautiful smile of his and he gives me a big hug!!!

9. What is your favorite color?

Blue, any color Blue

10. What is your favorite type of music, song, singer or group?

A friend of mine just recently introduced me to Enya and I just love her music. For rock music, you cant beat Rod Stewart!!

11. What is your favorite movie?

It's A Wonderful Life, I watch it every year Actor?

12. What is your favorite food?

I love steak!! Are you a good cook?

yes unfortunately!! 13. What makes you laugh? Really laugh, as in guffaw and snort.

When my dogs and I dance to Tequila music in the living room!!

14. What causes do you hold dear?

Animal rights and rescue Any particular reason? I am terrified of what this economy is doing to family pets. Last week our local pound had 13 owner turn in dogs because their families were unable to afford to take care of them. They did not ask to be born and it is our responsibility to see to it that they are taken care of.

My other passion is that I would like to start a nationwide campaign for National Mandatory Spay/Neuter program and have each state mandate the veterinarians to participate in it at a cost that is reasonable for all Americans to afford.

15. Name an event in your life that you will never forget.

In 1966, I was the youngest person ever to compete in the National Spelling Bee. My dad and I worked for months together going over the book of words to be used. 16. If you had a chance to be one person for a day, who would that person be, and why?

I would like to be the President for 1 day and pass legislation to give all Americans health care, to force the reduction of gas prices, to pass the National Spay Neuter Law.

17. What part of the world are you in?

I am in NorthEastern Ohio. Where I live borders on Ohio, PA and WV.

18. Are there any interesting facts about the area you live in? (Traditions, famous landmarks, famous people, history, etc.)

I honestly don't know much about the history here where I live but I know there is one family name you see everywhere

19. What do you like best about where you live?

I live out in the middle of a 100 acre hay field. My driveway is 1/4 mile long. It is just beautiful here. I can see up to 30 deer in the evening. It is secluded and sooo very peaceful

20. What do you like least about where you live?

I dislike deer hunting season. I am not able to let my dogs go out and run in the fields.

21. How much time do you spend online and how does your family feel about it?

I probably spend 4 or 5 hours in the evening online. My hubby is gone from Monday evening until Sunday morning so he is grateful that I have my online friends to be with.

22. How much experience do you have on the computer?

I have been using a computer for 12 years now. I know HTML and can make webpages.

23. Have you taken any computer classes, online or off?

Yes I took 2 online web design classes. I enjoyed them very much and learned a great deal.

24. Did you create your site yourself?

Yes I did the HTML but I used the graphics from different Pixel sites I am a member of

25. Why did you originally create it?

I wanted a place to display the projects and assignments I had done from the different groups I am a member of. I wanted to show off my critters, but havent got their pages done as of yet!

27. What do you do away from the computer, i.e.. do you go fishing, camping?

I pretty much am home all the time except for when I go to the store once a week to do my weekly grocery shopping or when I have to go to one of my doctors. I do go once a month to a monthly prayer luncheon with a neighbor lady. My life is very quiet and plain.

28. When did you first join GOF?

Just a couple months ago actually.

29. How did you find GOF?

My dear friend Alita is a co owner of a Yahoo PSP group with me and another GOF member, Hafapea, and she had made a recruiting post on our group.

30. What committees are you involved with in the Garden?

I am in the PetLovers Committee, naturally LOL and I was just recently asked to be the ACL of the Gardening Committee

31. If you had a chance to be a Garden Keeper for the day, what would you do?

I would send a mass email out to everyone I know and tell them to come and look at the various Committees we have here at GOF.

32. Is there anything you would like to see added or changed in the Garden?

As of the moment, I could not think of a thing I would do to change GOF. The people I have met here are the most friendly of any group I am in and I am so happy that I joined GOF.
