Crossroads
Sometimes
we come to life's crossroads and
View what we think is the end,
But God has a much wider vision and
He knows it's only a bend --
The road will go on and get smoother, and
After we've stopped for a rest,
The path that lies hidden beyond us is
Often the part that is best.
So rest and relax and grow stronger
Let go and let God share your load,
And have faith in a brighter tomorrow
You've just come to a bend in the road.
~~Author Unknown~~

Our precious ~Da'Bee~
joined the Garden of Friendship on April 8, 2001. Some of
us knew her in other online groups prior to her joining The
Garden of Friendship, while others have gotten to know her over
the three years she has been a member with us.
~Da'Bee~
has shared many happy moments with us, and gone through many
trials and tribulations. She has always been a very active
member in the Garden of Friendship and has served on many
committees within our gates. She has been a dear friend to
those of us who have been blessed enough to get to know her and
she will be sadly missed.
We
cried with ~Da'Bee~ as she shared her story about her battle
against Breast Cancer in her
journal. Her journey was
not a pleasant one, yet she was able to laugh at the loss of her
hair, and we all admired her strength and courage through it
all. ~Da'Bee~ lost her beloved Roger to bladder cancer
just over a year ago in September 2002. Our hearts ached
as we shared her grief. In November of 2002, we were all
overjoyed when ~Da'Bee~ was declared cancer free.
~Da'Bee~
has touched the hearts and lives of so many, not only through
her friendship but sharing her time and talents with the
beautiful adoptions and graphics she offered not only through
her own website, but through the work she did for the groups she
belonged to.
In
the past year, ~Da'Bee~ has gone through reconstructive surgery
and was learning to live her life as a survivor and as a widow.
In August of 2003, ~Da'Bee~ celebrated the birth of her first
grandchild, Taylor Morgan, born to her son, Chris and his wife
Tina.
Shortly thereafter, ~Da'Bee~ received the heartbreaking news
that the cancer had returned, this time to her liver. ~Da'Bee~
received chemotherapy treatments to help ease the swelling, but
as time progressed, ~Da'Bee~ grew very weak and tired, to the
extent that she lost her battle with cancer and has been
reunited with her beloved Roger once again.
As
you look to the skies, and see a twinkling star, know that ~Da'Bee~
is looking down on you from Heaven up above and she is smiling
once again.
~Da'Bee~,
may you Rest in Peace. You will be greatly missed.
With Love,
From all your Friends in The Garden of Friendship
