June is Scleroderma Awareness month. As in
most cases it is designed to help bring awareness
of the disease.
Scleroderma is a
chronic connective tissue disease. It is
generally classified as one of the autoimmune
rheumatic diseases. Hardening of the skin is one of the
most visible signs of Scleroderma. Scleroderma has
be called 'progressive systemic sclerosis but
has been found that it is not
necessarily progressive. The disease may take on
several forms. There is also much variability among
patients.
This video will tell you what
the symptoms are, give you interviews with people
who have Scleroderma, and tell you what the
Scleroderma Foundation is about.
