Alcohol and Drug Addiction

Did you know that if you take drugs as they are precribed for you
and you drink alcohol around your kids,
you are setting a bad example? Even if you think you are not setting
a bad example you really are. Your kids will see you taking drugs
or drinking alcohol and you tell them that the drugs are for the pain
if you are taking precribed medication. And if you tell them that
you drink alcohol to relax from a hard days work. You are basically showing them
that this is ok for them to do so, so in return they will try it when your back is
turned or you are out of the house.
Did you also know that your kids will get high on your own prescribed
medication? Some kids don't even have to go to the street corner and buy their drugs
so that they can get high and addicted to those so
called pain medication as you call them.
Your kids can get them from your own medicine cabinet. There are alot of addicting
drugs out there and you may even have them in your very own house.
You will need to keep your medication locked away to only where you can get to
them. You should also lock away your alcoholic beverages. What you do as an adult is
meant for adults and not your kids.
However you need to take control of your own issues.
The more you drink the more your kids will follow in your own footsteps, the
same goes for those precribed medications that your doctor has given you for the pain.
Alcohol and drugs are a deadly combination and they can kill
you if you mix them together and take enough of those drugs while drinking alcohol.
If you are addicted to alcohol or your own precribed medication you need to get help.
There are people out there who will help you over come your addiction. You are a better
person alive and you mean so much to your family and friends.
