I've something very special
I wish to give to you
More valuable than silver
and far more priceless too ~
But since the miles divide us
and I cannot impart
This precious gift I have for you
that comes from in my heart.



So I want you for a minute
to close your eyes real tight
And imagine I'm beside you
amidst your toughest plight ~
Take my hand real gently
and place across your chest
An arm to reach your shoulder,
and let love do the rest.


With one hand draping softly
the other follows suit
I'm sending you a message
that I'm thinking of you ~
While I can't be there in person
in spirit I embrace
Just as those arms around you
an angel put in place.


This exercise in friendship
beyond any measure
Gives to us the greatest gifts
which we can truly treasure ~
And while a hug is priceless
it's value is in part
The reason I am sending
this gift within my arms.
