As the Garden of Friendship celebrates it's Seventh year, I sit in awe at what the Garden has become and the role it plays in the lives of so many. In 2000, when I founded the Garden of Friendship, I had no idea that seven years later, the Garden would play such an integral part in the lives of so many.

The last seven years have brought us so much. We have formed friendships, shared triumphs and tribulations, laughed together and cried together. There is no need to feel alone when you are in the Garden of Friendship. Whether you want to share your exciting news or cry on a shoulder as you deal with the loss of a loved one, you always have a friend willing to lend an ear, offer encouragement and support. We have learned together and grown together. We have seen much change in seven years, and through it all, the Garden has prospered, standing strong on the basis it was conceived, Friendship.

Over the course of seven years, we have lost several very special GOF members and as we look back, I would like to take a moment to remember those that we have lost, whose precious memories will remain in our hearts forever. We'll always remember Al Lang, Connie O., Birdlady, Lady Starlite, Queen Mother, Lady Da'Bee, Squeak, Betty and Mimi.

Since taking on the title of Founder, and stepping down from my Garden Keeper position, I have not been as actively involved in the Garden as I once was. Real life has been very demanding and my online time has been extremely limited. Although I have lost touch with some of my friends, I continue to correspond with others and thank each and every one of you for your friendship.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for the role you play in the Garden of Friendship. The dedication and support of our members contributes largely to our success. Whether you are involved in several committees and fun groups, serve as a Leader to one of our Committees or are only on one Committee, thank you for the role you play in the Garden.

I want to express special thanks to the Garden Keepers. Their hard work and dedication keep the Garden running smoothly. Alita, AussieWendy, Cheri, GrammyJ, JanDee, JusKuntree, Leanne, Marre and RescueMom, I tip my hat to each of you and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We have a full month of festivities planned as the Garden celebrates "Seven Blooming Years". My wish for you is that you will continue have share blooming friendships with us in the Garden for many years to come.
