My special Garden Memory is of a very wonderful Garden Keeper we once had - our ConnieO.  I remember when she became CL for Special Occasions and we became fast friends, having our little committee chats every day and she was the one person I turned to to always stay positive.  She was my inspiration and still is!
She touched my heart forever!

I have a lot of memories.  I have a hard time picking one.  But I will pick one person and that would be Connie O.  I still miss her very much.  The encouragement she gave me, the laughter and caring I will always remember her as being one of the most wonderful people I ever met.  I think for a memory that is important, I would have to say when I was asked to become a Garden Keeper. That is a feeling I can't describe. I want Dee to know, because she is the only Garden Keeper that was here when I was asked, that I thank her and the others at the time for asking me and making me feel welcome and like I was a major part of this Garden.

My first memory of the Garden, I would have to say, was all the warmth and acceptance I received upon my membership being approved.  The Garden of Friendship is one of the first groups I joined, when I started venturing into the world of the Internet.  I've joined and left many groups since joining GOF back in 2000. I've seen groups start with good intentions only to see them die out because of tensions and conflict.  The Garden of Friendship, has and continues to be a place of warmth and acceptance for me and others.

We have all shared many memories together as good friends should.  No one is forgotten. With the passing of Garden Keeper Connie O and Garden Member Al Lang, we all felt the hurt of losing a friend. Today their memory is cherished every time a new member views the beautiful Memorial Page, in remembrance of our friends.

In recent weeks I have witnessed this ongoing friendship as our Garden Keeper Dee poured her heart out to all of us. Apologizing day after day as if she owed us an explanation! Once again I saw friends coming to her aid and offering their time and friendship, so that she may not have to carry a heavy load on her shoulders and so she could get the much needed rest she deserves. She works tirelessly for the Garden of Friendship as do all the Garden Keepers, and for this I say Thank You!
